THE SHOW MUST GO ON

Based on Jerome Bel's show of the same name, I had the opportunity to design the lighting for a handful of songs for my third year version of The Show Must Go On. This for me, meant looking at other versions to see what they had done and how they did it. As we were performing it at the New Theatre Royal in Portsmouth we luckily had a full lighting rig to work with.

We also had the opportunity to test out some of the lighting stages in our rehearsal room. Although that did have a limited rig, it worked for us as we could see what would work and what wouldn't.

As we were able to work out what we wanted for the lighting states before we got into the venue it meant our tech run ran quickly and smoothly.
