This was an amateur dramatics performance of Gilbert and Sullivans rarely performed The Grand Duke. Although I was the leading lady, I was also the chairperson of the group, meaning that I regularly ran production meetings, ensured the piece was remaining in budget and liaising with costumes and the orchestra to get the best prices and use of our budget as possible. I also had to deal with a last minute sound issue before one of the performances as the original sound guys had to leave and removed their sound equipment, leaving us with just our head microphones.
