Casual Work

The Rocky Horror Show - UK Tour

July 2023

Recently I was fortunate enough to be offered work to help out on the Get-in and Get-out for The Rocky Horror Show (UK Tour). I was a part of the LX team, unloading trailers and rigging fixtures for the show. It was a joy to see the behind the scenes of the show and working with some highly experienced individuals. The show was a success with amazing reviews all around. The Get-out began at 10pm until 4am the following morning. It was amazing be a part of such an efficient working team and work on such an iconic show.

Mamma Mia - UK Tour

May 2023

I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to work on The Mamma Mia UK Tour. I was a part of the Get-out as well as being offered the position of Followspot 1. The position of Followspot 1 was an amazing opportunity. We had one dress run to learn the show, then we debut our follow spotting on Mamma Mia, there were 3 followspots in total. With 6 pages of cues and some complex live changes, it was a great challenge and brilliant fun to be a part of! The get-out was by far the longest one I've ever been a part of. With 5 lorries to load/unload it was a massive team effort to clear the stage ready for the next show. The get-out was 10pm - 6.30am. It was a joy to be a part of an iconic show, with an amazing team!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - Musical

April 2023

I was recently at The Kings Theatre in Portsmouth operating the lighting for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I was operating on an ETC Eos TI. The show was its most sold weeklong show ever! Selling over 10,000 tickets! It received tons of stunning reviews and was the talk of the town! The lighting was designed and programmed by Alex Musgrave, I was lucky enough to be the board operator for the shows entire run. It was a pleasure to be a part of the show.

Cinderella The Magical Pompey Panto

December 2022

In December of 2022 I worked on my first ever show at The Kings Theatre in Portsmouth. This will always be a big highlight in my career. My nan took me to see the Portsmouth Pantomime for the first time when I was 4 years old, and we have been every year since. It is what kickstarted my love for theatre. Having the opportunity to work on the pantomime at The Kings Theatre in Portsmouth 17 years later was like a childhood dream of mine. Over the course of the pantomime, I debut as a follow spot operator for the first time, as well as being LX board operator for some of the shows run. It was a massive step in my career, something I had dreamed of as a kid, and something I shall never forget.
