During this placement I shadowed the stage management team and learnt the instrumental role they play in the smooth running of a show at Shakespeare's Globe. I ran parts of the ASM and SM track both during tech week and previews as well as aiding the team in the movement of the truck through the audience and post show blood clean-up. I learnt about prop sourcing and how different departments within the Globe work together, as well as the integral adaptability and on the spot problem solving needed when operating on as large a scale as the Globe.
