Peter Gordon
Media/Communication Adviser & Trainer
"Megan worked directly with me as part of the production of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' at Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Dec22/Jan23.
I played the role of Dame - and I'm also a long term trustee of the theatre. From the very start she was a committed member of the team, a problem solver extraordinaire and a very cheerful, professional person to be around. Her step up to the position of Acting Head of Wardrobe when called upon demonstrated Megan's Common sense approach to management and her organisation skills. I would recommend Megan to any theatre performance / creative team - a huge asset, willing to learn as well as contribute ideas and creativity. One to watch for the future!"
Rohan Carr
Technical Stage Manager
"Megan is, one of the most naturally talented ASM's I have worked with, both at GSA and Professionally. Her Constant energy, Willingness to help and learn and relentless smile have been so valuable and provided much needed morale to the entire company as well as the SM team. As an ASM, Megan toes the line between effective communication and staying one step ahead of the thoughts of the SM, to pick up and solve problems as they occur, and overstepping perfectly. She manages to incredibly effectively problem solve whilst never undermining the SM or other team members. During rehearsal she would be managing multiple makes at once, all of which were outputted at great quality, and an appropriate level of hardiness for the show, showing a clear understanding of the requirements of the project."
Rachel Pryce
Company Stage Manager
"Megan has a huge amount of skill and talent for backstage theatre. She not only possesses the aptitude necessary to work in a busy, live environment - but (Perhaps more importantly) an exceptional attitude. No ask is too big and no problem unsolvable. Megan is able to think independently, and is highly self-sufficient. Her communication skills are brilliant and she is respected amongst creatives, performers and technicians alike. As a company stage manager, i would always want a Megan Swinden on my team."
