About Me:
Hi my name is Megan,

I am a 2023 Graduate of Guildford School of Acting on the BA theatre Production course. In my first year of GSA I had the opportunity to explore all departments on a basic level, it was here I found I enjoyed all areas of theatre, specifically Stage Management, Lighting and Construction & Scenic Arts.
In my 2nd year I chose to specialise in Stage Management as this is definitely where my passion lies, however I have enjoyed taking on a few LX Crew & Followspot roles over my 2nd and 3rd year to keep my knowledge up to date. I fully endeavour to keep up smaller Lx roles where possible as I head into the beginning of my career.

The excitement I found for Construction & Scenic arts, I channelled into props making which is a newfound skill of mine. I thoroughly enjoy a challenge to make a prop as its an opportunity to be creative and think outside the box. Additionally, for the last year I have worked with Guildford Shakespeare Company and WLX Productions in there get in and outs where I have gained a huge amount of knowledge around how set should be constructed safely and how to build and remove staging correctly.

As I leave GSA and step into the industry, I reflect on the progress I have made during the 3 years at GSA. I’m leaving having worked on a mixture of productions, with a range of experiences of different roles as well as a depth of knowledge. I have both developed and grown personally and professionally as a person and have burning a passion and drive for the Arts.
