Over a period of two years, I worked within GLive both Backstage and Front of House, working alongside my studies and with a number of different people and companies.

As part of my job as a Casual Technician, I was trained to work as a duty and stage technician. In this position, I worked in the Sound, Lighting, Stage and AV departments. In this role I;
- Assisted in the preparation and running of shows/events
- Assisted with room/seating turnarounds
- Moved scenery and equipment during productions working with lighting, sound, and special effects
- Maintained Health and Safety and Fire Safety procedures, whilst being trained as a stage door worker
- I have supported several companies with “get ins” and “get outs” within all aspects of the productions including lighting, sound, and rigging
- Collaborated with all visiting producers and artists to promote good customer relations

I have worked on several productions ranging from comedy shows which required basic PA, and few set dressing elements, to full staged musical productions with extensive technical elements.

As a Guest Experience Team Member I was in charge of;
- Welcomed patrons, check ticket stubs, seats and act as the point of contact for enquiries.
- Ensured the public areas, foyer, auditorium, and toilets are presentable at all times.
- Assisted the Marketing team in ensuring all leaflet displays are tidy and well stocked and all poster displays are clean.
- I was responsible for the safety and comfort of patrons before, during and after performances.
- Invited customers into the venue, whilst providing a high standard of customer service.
- Ensured every individual has a ticket and it is for the correct show, time and date, offering support if any of these are wrong.
- Attended training courses as they were provided to me, to enable you to satisfactorily carry out your duties and to further self-development.
- Assisted with the setting up and running of day-to-day duties and extra events when required, such as Press nights and Charity nights.
