Duties
- Assisted in the get-in and get-out, as well as completed the turnaround to assist the next production get-in
- Completed elements of the returns including props and fabric elements.
- Consolidated and actioned several requests and queries that became apparent during production meetings.
- Answered a range of questions during Production meetings and updated the production team on current progress.
- Created & researched the props list and costing – which was then referred to and updated throughout the production process
- Considered sustainability in sourcing/making props and furniture
Met with the designer to discuss the production concept.
- Assisted in the Mark-up and preparation of the rehearsal room
- Sourced and made several props as required for the production
- Read and researched the script which included an analysis of the text
- Communicated and updated the creative team regularly - obtain approval of props etc from Director and Designer
- Regularly attended rehearsals and assisted the DSM in their duties
- Assisted in managing the budget. Record purchases and ensure the correct use of university payment methods with the Production Manager
- Updated the record of props and materials on the sustainability tracker as required
- Assisted in the preparation of paperwork such as Setting and Running Lists/Tracks
- Participated in daily team meetings with the rest of the Stage Management Team
- Participated in the fit-up and plotting sessions, working with the lighting department.
- Managed the props and allocated offstage areas including setting up the props table.
- Performed and orchestrated cues and set changes as necessary during the production
