About Me / Training

Headshot.jpg

I'm Mia, a 2024 BA Theatre Production graduate of Guildford School of Acting, with a specialism in Stage Management. During my time at GSA, I worked on a wide range of different productions, in a variety of roles, including every role in Stage Management (SM, DSM and ASM), whilst also honing in my skills in other departments to help me become a more well-rounded and skilled theatre technician. These additional roles included Followspot Operator & Lx Crew, Wardrobe Assistant and Sound 3, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Although my main interest is in Stage Management, particularly props and ASM roles, through carrying out other show roles I learnt that I enjoy working in all aspects of theatre and am open to broadening my skills further and taking on new roles in the future, if the opportunity arises, such as Tech Swing positions. I pride myself on always being open to learn new ways of doing things and constantly expanding my skillset, learning from the wide range of talented creatives, designers, technicians and performers that I get the pleasure of working with.

I am always on the lookout for new, exciting opportunities, so if you are interested in working with me or connecting, please email me at:

Professional Experience

Future Endeavors

Stay tuned for further updates on my future ventures by connecting with me on LinkedIn:

Despite being a student and only graduating this year, I have still managed to work on various West End shows, acquiring three years of professional experience. These credits include Derren Brown's 'Unbeliveable' (Criterion), 'Pretty Woman' (Savoy), 'Aspects of Love' & 'Death Note' (Lyric), 'Matilda' (Cambridge) and 'Frozen' (Theatre Royal Drury Lane). For all of these shows, I have been part of the lighting team, as a followspot operator or followspot dep, apart from at the Cambridge Theatre where I cover both the followspot and Stage Lx track.

Additionally, I just completed my first international contract, where I spent three months working as a Props Artist in New York at the internationally acclaimed theater camp Stagedoor Manor. During which I sourced, designed and created all of the props for 11 different productions and also assisted with other departments when necessary, including being part of the Stage Crew during some performances. Due to its intense nature, this job was very valuable in helping me to gain a wide range of experience, whilst also helping me learn how to adapt methods and solutions to meet tight deadlines and juggle working on multiple different productions at the same time, as well as the importance of teamwork.

I also have professional dressing experience, dressing on multiple touring productions such as "Singin' in the Rain", 'Blood Brothers' and 'Rock of Ages'. As a result, I am very familiar with working on busy, large scale musicals, navigating backstage traffic, as well as having an understanding of performer's needs and the pressures they face. Working on these many different productions, on top of my studies, has also helped me gain good planning & organisational skills, whilst giving me the ability to have a flexible approach to working unsociable hours.
