Dr. Jacob Bronowski, a mathematician and scientist whose ground-breaking series made science popular on TV, always took a rather optimistic view of human evolution. But was he right in his rosy assessment of mankind?
Young research assistant Ava, whose career is stalling, thinks not. And when her Tinder date Jamie turns out to be Bronowski’s grandson, she quickly becomes more interested in getting into his late grandfather’s house than pursuing a romantic relationship. At the family’s estate, Ava develops a fascination with the research materials Bronowski had kept locked up safely in his famous secret room. With some nudging, she convinces Jamie to open this Pandora’s box of his family past, unearthing echoes from across six million years of human history.
