Deirdre Kinahan's Irish adaptation of Michel Tremblay's Québécoise comedy: Les Belle-Souers, is set in Ireland 1974.

An ensemble of 15 working-class women meet one night at Ger Lawless' home for a stamp sticking party. Over the course of the evening, a snapshot of the lives of these women, their love lifes, the church and small joys are revealed to the audience whilst Ger's world begins to break down into the abstract.
